Privacy policy
Ledger Technologies, Inc. (“Ledger”, “we”) operates the settlement and treasury platform available at example.com and through our APIs. This policy describes what we process when you use the platform, visit the site, or contact us — and the choices you have about it.
What we collect
Account data you give us (name, work email, company, verification documents required by KYB regulation); transaction data generated by your use of the rails (amounts, currencies, counterparties, timestamps and the resulting ledger entries); and technical data collected automatically (device, browser, IP address, and logs of API requests including their idempotency keys).
How we use it
To run the service: routing payouts, locking FX quotes, posting both ledger entries, and delivering webhooks. To meet our legal obligations: sanctions screening, travel-rule messaging, fraud monitoring and record-keeping mandated by the regulators of each rail we operate on. We do not sell personal data, and we do not use transaction data for advertising.
Retention and your rights
Financial records are retained for the period required by the applicable rail’s regulation — typically five to seven years — even after account closure. Everything else is deleted or anonymised when no longer needed. You can request access, correction, export or deletion of your personal data at privacy@example.com; we answer within 30 days.
Terms of service
These terms govern your use of the Ledger platform. By creating an account or calling the API you agree to them on behalf of the company you represent. If you are on a negotiated enterprise agreement, that agreement prevails where the two differ.
The service
Ledger provides payout routing, treasury, reconciliation and compliance tooling over local payment rails. Quoted rates are binding once locked; settlement medians published on this site are measured figures, not guarantees. The sandbox mirrors production behaviour but moves no real funds.
Acceptable use
You may not use the platform to move funds for undisclosed third parties, to evade sanctions or currency controls, or for any activity that is illegal on either side of a transfer. We may suspend routes — and must, in some jurisdictions — while a compliance review is open; suspended transfers reverse through the same transaction that created them.
Liability
Our aggregate liability in any twelve-month period is capped at the fees you paid us in that period. We are not liable for losses caused by rail outages outside our control, by inaccurate instructions, or by your breach of these terms. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law. Questions about either document: legal@example.com.
